On the Move

In several attempts to post a video I have conceeded to Blogger and realized it might never happen... so in lieu of the video I was going to have up for you, I'll just post a lot of pictures instead!

We've been very busy in the last week. Ruby changes and grows from nap to nap and working all day we both feel as if she's a whole new person from when we leave to when we get home. These first pictures show just how much she's changed in the last few months. The picture on the right is one we took when she was about 6 or 7 days old in a little pink onesie that was gigantic on her in her Roo swing. The next is over her now...in the same outfit and the same swing. She looks so big!

These are face close ups from one day old to now. I just can't believe how much she's changed already!
1 Day

1 Month

2 Months

3 Months

Now

She's still on the verge of giggles, we've not heard a consistant laugh yet but she will give you a big, silly grin and a hearty belly laugh to go with it if you do something really funny.

Ruby loves to stand up! She's even started to put one foot in front of the other and walk if you help her by holding her hands. This action was the video I was trying to post...but it will have to wait for another day.

We're working on rolling over and reaching out to grab things. She knows that she can get something if it's in front of her, but she tries to pull her knees up to her chest instead of reach out for it with her hands. Then we just get excited and bounce and drool. She'll also lean her body forward, mouth open, if something is in front of her she thinks might taste good. Elephant seems to taste especially good....

We've got to be on the verge of teething because everything has to go in her mouth! If she gets a finger or my collar bone in particular, she goes to town and just bites down as hard as her little mouth can bite (which is pretty hard!) and the drool!... oh the drool. We soak through several shirts a day. We call it her concentration drool because if she's watching something like lights, or fingers or Baby Einstein, there's no keeping the slobber in her mouth.

That's all for now! We're looking forward to the next few months when Grandparents get to come see how much she's changed in person!
Goodnight and Sweet dreams.
Love, Ryan, Kelli & Roo

  1. Hey Ruby! Uncle Reid was a drool-meister when he was your age too. I see your daddy's "look" in some of those pictures.
